-- Featuring a series of great films shown on the big screen at several
locations in the original 35mm format. This series has been delighting
our guests for over 11 years.
The unique feature of this program is how the films are
selected. After a theme is selected, a ballot is created of appropiate
titles. Our guests vote on which films they would like to see and
we make every effor to screen the most requested features.
We try to re-create the "Showbiz" aspect of going to the
movies during Hollywood's Golden Era.
For the 2007-2008 season, we are presenting "It's Showtime",
consisting of the great "Roadshow" presentations such as, "Lawrence of
Arabia", "Ben-Hur", and "West Side Story", all presented in the original
35 mm format. From time to time we include short subjects and cartoons.
At our classic Big Fremont Theatre in San Luis Obispo,
a second series titled "Fremont Rewind: features a diverse selection of
cult classics and favorites, in the past we have presented such films as
"Taxi Driver", "American Graffiti", and "Rocky Horror Picture Show".
In past years we have presented this series to enthusiastic audiences
in the cities of Temecula, Anaheim Hills, Blue Jay, Laguna hills and Huntington
Beach. This year we will be adding Murrieta to our presentation.
Each Month the program features an opening discussion of the film and
the starts. We ask trivia questions and give away prizes for correct
answers -- at some showings in the past we have presented live entertainment
and guest speakers. At most loacations we have coffee available for
our guests.
When checking the program for each location be sure to note the starting
and screening times, as they sometimes vary by locations.
